The five Area Agencies on Aging (AAAs) in CT are private, not-for-profit corporations established in CT in 1974 to provide leadership and resources to meet the needs of the rapidly growing elderly population. Statewide Legal Services of Connecticut
The legal services programs in Connecticut are a group of nonprofit organizations which provide legal assistance in civil matters to low-income persons. Services are free. Eligibility depends upon income, family size, assets and legal issue. Self-help legal materials for seniors are available on such topics as Nursing Homes, Health Benefits, Funeral and Burial Issues, Wills and Estates, and other Senior Citizen issues.
